MetroAccess
| WHAT: | A regional paratransit program for people with disabilities who cannot
use the regular transit system. MetroAccess is a curb-to-curb service that
compliments regular public transportation systems in Montgomery County
by providing smaller buses, vans or taxicabs so that those who cannot use
regular transportation can still have complete accessibility. |
| WHEN: | 5:30 am - midnight, 7 days a week |
| WHO: | People with disabilities who have been certified as eligible. |
| HOW: | Complete an application and have it certified. To schedule a trip,
call at least one day in advance or up to 14 days ahead. |
| COST: | Double whatever the fare would have been with regular service. Currently, $2.20 during rush hours, $1.80 at all other times, each way. See MetroAccess Subsidy Program, below, for subsidized fare program. |
